Tobermory, November 2022, Acrylic on Canvas, 12” x 12”
As part of a square-foot memory series, I recreated the pristine view of the Georgian Bay from my friend’s cottage in Tobermory. The colors are vibrant and the forms are simplistic to reflect the sensations of a peaceful and calmful summer evening.
Waterton, November 2022, Acrylic on Canvas, 12” x 12”
As part of a square-foot memory series, I recreate the view of the Canadian Rockies in Waterton, Alberta. The scene captures the post-forest fire view from the top of Bear Hum Mountain, which contains the unusual magenta sky, glacial lake, and village below. This painting was in Westland Gallery’s Square-foot show, in London Ontario.
Freeway, November 2022, Acrylic on Canvas, 12” x 12”
As part of a square-foot memory series, I recreated the passenger view driving down the I75 after spending 3 months in New Hampshire. It resembles the trip home, and that rush to get home and go back to the normality of life. Rather than copying the exact composition I integrate my passion for lane swimming with my memories of travel making a lane rope from the freeway dividers and underwater texture from the sky.
